How do your personal or unique qualities best fit the International System?
I have always being inspired and motivated by qualities in women such as: inner and outer beauty, vivaciousness, determination, strong will, high self esteem, ambitious, successful , devotion to the family and the community, and a positive role model for other women. I have embraced these qualities and live by them each day. That is why my platform is about positive female role models inspiring other women to be all they can be, no matter what the challenges. The international system celebrates that woman; the woman that is beautiful inside and outside; committed to succeed in every area of her life; devoted to education, marriage, career and community outreach; and, a positive role model for other women.
What is something few people know about you?
I am a good cook and make delicious Indian, Turkish and middle eastern dishes. I love to cook with spices. A lot of people believe that career women don’t have time to cook or be devoted to the family. That is far from the truth. If you are committed to the family and the success of it, nothing can stop you from giving it all. Home cooked meals is important to my husband and my husband is important to me so I enjoy learning different dishes and cook delicious meals.
What do you do to stay healthy?
Since a little girl I believed that my body and life was a beautiful gift from GOD. I take care of my gift by exercising 7 days a week with a personal trainer and yoga once a week. As far as nutrition, I eat 80% healthy dishes and take vitamins and herbs. Also, I read a lot of books and magazines about nutrition. I believe that prevention is the key so I always strive to eat healthy and exercise. Nevertheless, I must say that icecream is my weakness and have not been able to give it up, so I have it everynight.
Everyone talks about family values. What are they?
Family values are: Love, Respect, Trust, Commitment, Honesty, Sacrifice, Devotion, Faithfulness, Support and always being there for each other.
What is your worst habit? Why?
I am very passionate and take everything to heart. I love people and stretch myself to limit to help them and give them all of me. Even when they disappoint me, I still keep on believing and giving. As a result, I become often disappointed and hurt when I don’t see the same intensity in care and devotion.
