How do your personal/unique qualities best fit the International System?
The International System is my way of being able to get out and talk about my learning disabilities with others. I have found that by talking to others I have more confidence in my everyday life. Nothing would honor me more than to start speaking publicly about my platform as Mrs. Texas International.
What is something few people know about you?
I really enjoy fishing but few know that I hold the Coleto Creek Reservoir lake record for Blue Cat by rod and reel. Now this was my first fishing trip with my father-in-law and I always heard stories about how he is the only one that catches the fish. Call it beginners luck if you want, but I caught the big fish that day...
What do you do to stay healthy?
I do my best to eat healthy and stay fit. My wedding business keeps me moving and thinking, but I still try to go to the gym every chance I get.
Everyone talks about "family values". What are they?
Our family values start with God, without him in our daily lives we would have nothing. Even though we have such busy schedules, we always find the time for family and friends. Our motto in life is to live everyday as if it were your last.
What is your worst habit? Why?
My worst habit would have to be waiting for my fuel light to come on before I fill up my vehicle. If I'm on a road trip, it isn't so bad, but just running around town I'm horrible about it. My husband always tells me that it doesn't cost anymore to keep the top half full than it does the bottom half.
