How do your personal/unique qualities best fit the International System? The International System promotes women who are exceptional in leading a balanced life and step up to become involved in their communities to assist with positive change. I believe that I possess these qualities. I am a giver in every aspect of life and hope to encourage others to follow my lead. My motto is "Don't be the problem - be the solution."
What is something few people know about you? Honestly, most people that know me also know that what you see is what you get. I put myself out there 100% so there are no surprises.
What do you do to stay healthy? Staying physically healthy is very important to me and my family. My exercise routine involves a minimum of 30 minutes of cardio 4 to 5 times per week. I also take the stairs instead of the elevator at work and park my car far enough that I will increase the amount of daily calories burned. My husband and I have changed our eating habits to be heart healthy.
Everybody talks about "family values". What are they? Family values involve a balance of understanding, communication and acceptance. Balance is so very important, especially in today's environment. Usually most homes have two working parents that have to balance raising children, careers, time with one another, and other activities - it has becomes an art form. It is also very important to have understanding because "things will happen." Just remember never to go to bed angry. Communication completes the circle. If you can communicate it means you can listen as well as speak. Acceptance is important too. You cannot change someone but you can influence the growth of your children and your community through your actions and examples as a positive role model. These are all characteristics of family values.
What is your worst habit? Why? My worst habit is that I want to help everyone. I love to help people and, because of that, I over-extend myself often. This is not likely to change though; when I see that someone needs help I am there.
