Mrs. Midland 2010

Christin Timmons

How do your personal/unique qualities best fit the International System?

I am married to my biggest supporter, and have four wonderful children. I am involved in several community organizations, work full time and am currently in my graduate studies for a Nurse Practitioner License. I have a huge passion for people and a desire to make a difference.

What is something few people know about you?

I traveled to Africa and Mexico to help other communities in need. I have built houses, performed gymnastics in the streets, and read to children during these outreach missions. All while sleeping in tents and no air conditioned buildings! People laugh when they hear I have “roughed it” for the greater good!

What do you do to stay healthy?

To stay healthy, I love to walk, ride my bicycle, read and write stories, eat balanced meals, and schedule regular checkups. I participate in church groups and prayer as well. Health cannot be one thing; it is a collaboration of things working together to keep us on course.

Everyone talks about “family values”. What are they?

Family values hold us together and give me a firm ground to stand on when the storms come and the waters rise. With a strong set of values you can withstand, love, show patience, share, and teach your children how to live. “Family values” help make my family, a family.

What is your worst habit? Why?

Over analyzing! I strive for perfection in all that I do and many times things get reviewed so hard and questioned so deeply that I often lose focus of what I was questioning to begin with. AH, I think I am doing it now with my answers!
